Bart van den Hurk Pro Line Field Tester
Hello,
I am Bart van den Hurk, a 23 year old fanatic carp fisher from Someren in Holland. I have been using the Proline products for over ten years now. In 2000 I was asked to become a field tester and as of 2005 I am also responsible for all field testers in the Netherlands.
Beside the carp fishing I spend my time studying economy, after a succesful higher vocational education in the same field. Learning comes easy to me and it gives me time to enjoy some more free time. I also work in a pet store and being the head of the fishing gear section. I love this work; earning money doing what I like best.
I started fishing at the age of 8. One of my uncles gave me my first rod (my parents dislike that day ever since, from that day on everything had to make way for the fishing). One year later, after buying my first rod, I actually caught my first carp. A day I will always remember. From that day on I was hooked and only got more attached to everything concerning the carp fishing ever since.
After fishing the local ponds and a more difficult canal in the south of Holland, I got my drivers license at the sixth try. This gave me the possibility to visit the more serious waters in the country. In my first mobile year I caught 9 thirty pounders and 3 fourty pounders. My car is my most important fishing gear. Most of my 20.000 miles a year are fishing miles. Did I enjoy catching greater fish in the beginning, now that has turned to target fishing; catching that one fish on a certain water. Miles don't matter as long as the water is located in the Netherlands.
The waters I like to fish in are closed waters with a small reservoir of carp. Carp that through their experience with fishers are more difficult to catch. The Proline products prove their worth time and again. I don't have one particular bait that does it for me. I search for the best thing at each individual water. I also like to try new taste combinations or ingredients, as to find the next top product in the assortment.
